A weekend cottage that blurs the boundary between interior and exterior spaces, where nature becomes part of daily living — an inside-out approach.

Popis projektu

The Weekend Cottage is a residential retreat designed for a young family (a businessman, homemaker, and two children). The concept centers on dissolving the boundary between inside and outside, treating the living space as a deck where nature is integral to daily life. The form evolution follows function: the building mass is split into two volumes creating voids that allow natural light and ventilation. The ground floor includes a pool, guest bedroom, kitchen, store, living room, vintage car exhibition space, indoor play area, and servant quarters. The first floor contains kids' bedrooms master bedroom and additional private spaces. The site is adjacent to a beach with a 9m wide road .

Technické informace

The climatic approach incorporates green roofs to create a cool microclimate and thermal comfort. Peace lily plants are used to control humidity. The design emphasizes natural light penetration and connection to nature. The site measures approximately 55m x 35m with orientation indicated by north arrow.
