Project Description
Interpretation center showing the evolution of buildings and lifestyle from the 1970s to the present.
Uses materials like brick, wood, plaster, and metal sheets to recreate old spaces.
Visitors experience a journey through different historical phases and modern spaces.
Project Concept
1970s – Normal Military Phase
Simple military-style buildings with brick walls and metal sheet roofs.
Clean, organized, and functional spaces.
Creates a feeling of discipline and routine.
1976–1978 – Tragedy Phase
Interior changed with cells, bars, and partitions.
Dark and crowded spaces create a prison-like atmosphere.
Represents fear, control, and suffering.
1978 – Erasure Phase
Buildings appear damaged and incomplete.
Broken walls, debris, and burnt surfaces are visible.
Creates a feeling of silence and abandonment.
After 1983 – Truth Phase
Structure preserved without major redesign.
Exposed materials show the reality of the past.
Represents awareness, memory, and evidence.
Present – Memory & Healing Phase
Combination of old structures with modern materials.
Open and light-filled spaces for reflection.
Symbolizes peace, healing, and respect.
Program and Function
Includes exhibition areas, audio-visual rooms, and amphitheater spaces.
Modern intervention spaces connect the old buildings together.
Creates a timeline journey from past to present for visitors.

Site area: 119.7 hectares / 295.8 acres / 1,100,700.7 sq.m. Scale: 1:2000. All dimensions are in meters. The site plan shows parking areas, and building footprints integrated with existing vegetation.
