A residential building concept inspired by the form of a dumbbell, symbolizing strength, balance and controlled power, designed for client Dwayne Johnson and Lauren Hashian.
The concept sheet presents a form development process that transforms a dumbbell shape into an architectural massing for a residence. The design evolves through four stages: starting from the dumbbell form, translating it into block massing, refining the volumes into cylindrical and curved elements, and finally arriving at a modern residential building with stairs and distinct volumetric composition.
The form development progresses through four stages: Stage 1 establishes the dumbbell as the conceptual origin. Stage 2 translates the dumbbell into rectangular block massing. Stage 3 introduces cylindrical and rounded forms. Stage 4 and the final stage show the resolved architectural form as a multi-level modern building with external stairs and varied facade treatments.
