Idea projektu

A bus shelter that reactively responds to sensors and emotions, using Galvanic Skin Response (GSR) technology to detect anxiety and adapt its environment accordingly.

Popis projektu

The Sentient Bus Shelter concept integrates GSR (Galvanic Skin Sensor) technology to create a responsive public transit shelter capable of sensing and feeling. The shelter uses skin sensors to scan a person's skin, send information, and generate nerve-based responses. When a person feels anxiety, the EDA module measures the amount of sweat and salty water, and small electrodes on the body create a tiny electrical signal that mirrors the anxiety response. The shelter then responds by dimming lights and reducing audio intensity. The zoning includes seating, waiting area, pedestrian path, info point, toilet, and sheltering areas. The design aims to be therapeutic, informative, safe, and responsive. Materials for the shell/roof include steel frame powder-coated components adaptable for different styles and cities.

Technické informace

GSR sensor technology detects anxiety through galvanic skin response. The system scans skin conductance, processes data through a data box, and triggers environmental adjustments including light dimming and audio intensity reduction. Steel frame powder-coated structure with modular roof shell design. Pros of GSR include: simple and affordable, easy to deploy, works even against yourself, adaptive, wide evaluation of anxiety, and readings to anxiety triggers.
