A quiet retreat rooted in nature, inspired by Reiki - the universal life force energy. The retreat is designed in harmonious relationship with nature, promoting balance, relaxation and wellbeing.

Popis projektu

The Weekend Cottage is a nature-integrated residential retreat drawing on Reiki principles. The design features an octagonal central element with surrounding wings, a swimming pool, and a spiral-shaped water feature or landscape element. The layout promotes harmony with nature through careful orientation and organic landscape design. The material palette includes natural wood, stone, concrete, and water elements. Design intent encompasses connection with nature, community, living and rest, balance and wellbeing, and private retreat.

Technické informace

The project includes front elevation (south), side elevation (east), sections A-A' and B-B', a site plan, and a circulation diagram showing movement paths through the building and landscape. The material palette consists of natural wood, exposed concrete, stone masonry, water features, and earth tones. The design integrates indoor-outdoor living with careful consideration of natural light and ventilation.
