I hereby declare that this project titled “Weekend Cottage Design” is an original work developed as part of my architectural/interior design study. The project is based on the concept of creating a therapeutic and calming retreat space inspired by circular forms, spatial transitions, and emotional well-being. The design aims to provide a peaceful environment that reconnects the user with nature while promoting relaxation, comfort, and mental rejuvenation.
The project context revolves around designing a weekend cottage for an astronaut client, where the spatial experience symbolically reflects themes of gravity, orbit, and cosmic serenity. A central circular courtyard acts as the “gravity core,” while transitional therapeutic spaces between rooms enhance movement, privacy, and emotional comfort.
A modern residential or resort building featuring curved organic forms, extensive glazing, wooden decking, and lush tropical landscaping. The structure appears to consist of multiple interconnected pavilions with rounded shapes, illuminated dramatically at night.
