Idea projektu

A new municipal library in Roztoky u Prahy designed to serve as a pleasant place for reading, studying, relaxation, and community gathering. The aim is to offer a calm environment open to all age groups that becomes a natural part of the city's life.

Popis projektu

The library is not conceived merely as a space for borrowing books, but also as a place for education, leisure, and strengthening community life. The building features a 220 m2 library on the second floor with a 32 m2 restroom area, 31 m2 staff facilities, 6 m2 storage service area, and a 40 m2 computer department. The first floor contains a 60 m2 study room, 40 m2 classroom, 32 m2 restrooms, and 40 m2 offices. The basement includes a 20 m2 technical room and 30 m2 storage. The design integrates into the existing urban context of Roztoky with a contemporary concrete facade with perforated patterns.

Technické informace

The building envelope is detailed with thermal insulation analysis. Load transfer schemes and heat calculation diagrams (DIAL) are provided. The structure features a green roof visible in the axonometric view. Floor plans are presented at 1:200 scale, site plan at 1:500, wider context at 1:5000, and section A-A at 1:200. The facade design features a concrete material with patterned window openings.
