The project 'Red Tower of Death' (Rudá věž smrti) is a memorial to political prisoners, designed as a partially submerged angular structure integrated into the landscape. The building features dramatic angular forms with sharp geometric volumes that cut into the hillside, creating a powerful architectural statement. The design incorporates exhibition spaces, circulation paths, and contemplative areas within its folded geometry. The structure emerges from the ground with bold dark surfaces contrasting against the green landscape, while interior spaces use controlled natural light to create atmospheric gallery and memorial spaces.

Technické informace

The building is organized across multiple levels embedded into the terrain. The design uses an angular structural system with inclined walls and roof planes. Floor plans show exhibition rooms, circulation corridors, and support spaces. Sections reveal the relationship between the buried and exposed portions of the building. The interior features gallery spaces with controlled lighting conditions suitable for memorial exhibitions.
