A timber observation tower with a concealed internal staircase system, featuring dramatic circular openings in the facade that reveal the intricate wooden structural framework within.
The project is a lookout tower constructed primarily of timber, designed with a square plan and rising several stories. The tower features large circular cut-outs on its facades that expose the complex diagonal and orthogonal timber bracing structure inside. The internal circulation consists of stairs that ascend through the tower, culminating in an open viewing platform at the top with a skylight opening. The name 'Hidden Ascent' refers to the staircase journey concealed within the tower's solid exterior walls, only revealed through the circular openings.
The structure uses a timber post-and-beam framework with diagonal bracing members. Floor plan at 1:70 scale shows a square layout with internal stair configuration. Sections (Řezy 1:70) and elevations (Pohled A 1:70) are provided. Site plan (Situace 1:500) shows the tower positioned in a landscape setting. The floor plan indicates dimensions of approximately 7200mm.
