A place of takeoff, rest and connection with nature. A spatial installation set on a viewpoint overlooking the Berounka river, inspired by the shape of a paraglider, made of high-strength reinforced concrete.
The installation playfully works with the original function of the viewpoint, which serves as a takeoff area for paragliders. It also serves as a place for sitting and resting, where visitors can better perceive the surrounding nature, enjoy the view and experience the local environment. The form is derived from a paraglider canopy shape, creating sheltered spaces beneath its folded concrete surfaces on a hillside setting surrounded by trees.
The structure is made of high-strength reinforced concrete. Site plan at 1:1000, floor plan at 1:100, sections at 1:100. The structural drawings show a steel/concrete frame system supporting the folded shell geometry.
