The aim of the design is to restore the atmosphere of a typical Czech railway station building while creating a functional, pleasant, and easily comprehensible environment. The building will serve not only as a transport hub but also as a place for relaxation and community gathering.
The Zadní Třebaň station is located in the Central Bohemia region on the left bank of the Berounka river. It is a stop on the cycleway EV4 and its railway station is a listed building. The design respectfully completes the use of the station and primarily aims to renovate the existing station building. The ground floor houses a café-bar and a multifunctional hall intended for various events and gatherings. The entire building helps enliven community life and make full use of its tourism potential. A new platform with a pleasant atmosphere is proposed, and the upper floor could be suitable for short-term accommodation or long-term stays.
The documentation includes ground floor and second floor plans, longitudinal section, cross section B-B', north elevation, and east elevation. Materials include black slate, black steel beams, green windows, and glass. The site plan shows the relationship to the Berounka river and a footbridge to Hlásná Třebaň. The interior features an exposed timber roof structure as a prominent architectural element.
