Design of a new Building H for the Faculty of Civil Engineering at CTU in Prague, located in Dejvice, Praha 6, providing modern educational and research facilities integrated into the existing campus context.
The design proposes a new faculty building that consolidates educational spaces including lecture halls, classrooms, and study areas. The building aims to increase capacity in the campus area. The architectural concept features a horizontal layered expression with a facade combining metal cladding and exposed concrete. The ground floor is designed with a generous entrance area with a tensile canopy structure, creating an inviting public interface. The building program includes multiple floors of classrooms, offices, and support spaces organized around a clear structural grid, with underground parking at the basement level.
The building uses a combination of metal cladding (kovový obklad) and exposed concrete (pohledový beton) for the facade. Floor plans are shown at 1:300 scale including ground floor (1. NP), 3rd floor (3. NP), 4th floor (4. NP), and basement (1. PP). Cross section (příčný řez) at 1:300 and longitudinal section (podélný řez) at 1:300 are provided. Site plan at 1:750 scale. Elevations shown include south (jižní), east (východní), west (západní), and north (severní) facades at 1:300.
