A community house on the village green in Psáry, serving as a social and cultural center for the municipality, designed to activate the public space of the village square.

Popis projektu

The project proposes a municipal community house located on the village green (náves) in Psáry, near Prague. The building is designed to serve as a cultural and social center for the community, positioned on the village square to reinvigorate the civic life of the area. The design features a two-story structure with a prominent glazed facade framed by a timber or corten steel structural grid, creating a warm and transparent character. The ground floor opens onto the square, providing a seamless connection between interior and exterior public space. The building contains flexible community spaces, a hall, and supporting facilities. The stepped outdoor seating area connects the building to the square, encouraging gathering and social interaction. The material palette includes fiber-cement panels, beige and orange-toned plaster, exposed concrete, and reflective foil insulation, creating a contemporary yet contextually sensitive appearance.

Technické informace

The building is a two-story structure with materials including fiber-cement roof tiles, beige and orange rendered plaster finishes, exposed concrete elements in the ground floor and structural system, and reflective foil behind the cladding. Floor plans show ground floor and upper floor layouts at 1:200 scale. Sections and elevations are provided at 1:100 and 1:175 scales. The structural system features a visible post-and-beam framework with glazed infill panels. The site plan is shown at 1:5000 scale within the context of the Středočeský kraj region near Prague.
