A café in Divoká Šárka that is not just a place for coffee but a carefully designed landscape element by the water — a space where people can slow down, observe and absorb the surrounding nature. The building is designed to blend harmoniously into the landscape rather than imposing itself as a foreign element.
The café is oriented toward the water with the most scenic views. Large-format glazing opens the interior to the surrounding landscape, creating a feeling that the boundary between interior and exterior almost disappears. The pleasant atmosphere allows visitors to experience the character of the place in every season. The architectural expression is based on simplicity, clean lines and natural materials. The combination of exposed concrete, solid wood and vegetation creates a harmonious contrast between modern architecture and the wild character of Šárka valley. The design aims to create a timeless concept providing a pleasant atmosphere for approximately 10 years, serving not only as a refreshment stop but primarily as a place for encounters, relaxation and moments of escape from city life.
Floor plans at 1:125 and 1:75 scales showing the layout including terrace, storage, kitchen area, bar counter, and seating. The building features a green roof element. Elevations provided from south, west and north sides at 1:75 scale. Section A-A at 1:75 scale shows the relationship to the terrain and water level at +0.000.
