Revitalization of the Braník Ice Houses into a generous and airy space for community gathering and relaxation, consciously connecting history with a modern industrial motif.
The design for the revitalization of the Braník Ice Houses creates a large-scale, airy space for community and relaxation that deliberately links history with a modern industrial motif. A key element is the preservation of original underground tunnels providing access to the basement, above which a new three-story structure rises composed of modular container units. The interior is dominated by a grand staircase offering visitors views through large windows directly outside. The concept is completed by an open rooftop terrace with seating that opens up attractive panoramic views of the Vltava river on one side and the neighboring brewery building on the other.
