A new pavilion for the Dejvice campus in Prague, featuring a distinctive sculptural dark volume that contrasts with a transparent glass and white structure, creating a landmark building for the university campus.
The project is located in the Kampus Dejvice area of Prague. The design combines a faceted, dark polygonal mass with a more conventional rectilinear glass and white-framed structure. The dark sculptural element serves as a visual landmark and contrasts with the transparent lower volumes. The building appears to house campus-related functions with generous glazed facades allowing visual permeability between interior and exterior spaces. The site analysis shows the building's relationship to the existing urban fabric of the Dejvice neighborhood, with careful consideration of surrounding buildings and public spaces.
The project includes floor plans at multiple levels, cross-sections, elevations, and a longitudinal section showing the relationship between the dark sculptural volume and the glazed pavilion structure. The drawings indicate a multi-story building with the dark mass rising above the transparent base. The section reveals the internal spatial organization and structural system supporting the irregular geometry of the dark volume.
