A minimalist shelter in the forest near Černošice that responds to the natural landscape of the Berounka river area, using angular geometric forms inspired by natural rock formations to create a contemplative retreat.
The design reacts to the hilly landscape near Černošice with a distinctive geometric form. The concept involves a monolithic, brutalist-style shelter set within the forest, defined by sharp angular planes that function like stones embedded in the terrain. The object is conceived as a monolithic reinforced concrete structure with a series of angled planar walls and roof surfaces. The exposed concrete surfaces act as walls that frame views of the surrounding forest while creating sheltered spaces. The design emphasizes minimalist detailing, with the raw concrete intended to age and blend with the natural environment over time.
The structure is made of exposed reinforced concrete. The construction uses poured concrete with careful attention to formwork detailing. The floor plan at 1:70 scale shows an angular layout with triangular and trapezoidal spaces. Sections at 1:70 show the relationship of the shelter to the sloping terrain. The minimalist material palette allows the structure to harmonize with the forest setting.
