A via ferrata trail and sports complex in the Divoká Šárka nature reserve in Prague, combining outdoor sport facilities with architectural pavilions integrated into the rocky landscape.
The project introduces a via ferrata route through the Divoká Šárka valley in Prague. The complex of pavilions serves both for sport and rest purposes, connected by a challenging trail through the rocky terrain. The lower pavilions along the path serve for relaxation and as shelters, while the upper pavilions form part of the ferrata route itself, functioning as transitional shelters between the rock face and the bridge crossing. The distinctive red angular volumes are embedded into the cliff faces, connected by a suspension bridge spanning across the gorge. The architectural forms appear as bold geometric insertions contrasting with the natural rock formations.
The project includes site sections showing the integration of pavilions into the cliff face, a site plan showing the trail route along the river through the valley, and detailed sections of the pavilion structures embedded in rock. The suspension bridge connects two cliff-mounted pavilions at height. The structures feature angular, faceted forms clad in red material.
