A flexible school environment shaped around children's movement, play, learning, and social interaction.
GROW SCHOOL K8 is designed as a school campus serving children from kindergarten to eighth grade. The project moves away from the conventional school model and aims to create a freer and more flexible learning environment where children can move, explore, and interact. Circular and curved forms are used to respond to children's natural movement patterns and to create smoother transitions between learning, play, and social spaces. The school is not only a collection of classrooms, but a living environment that combines education, play, social interaction, and daily experience. A non-traditional playground is placed at the back of the site, offering an open area for movement and activities. This space can also be used by children from the neighborhood outside school hours, allowing the school to become an active part of its surrounding community.
The project is a K-8 school campus designed for kindergarten, primary, and middle school students. It includes classrooms, activity areas, open courtyards, playgrounds, ramps, and landscaped outdoor spaces. The circular form supports children’s movement, play, and social interaction.
