Idea projektu

Design of a cultural-social center in Cholupice, Prague 12, creating a new community hub that responds to the character of the locality and respects the existing urban structure of the village. The project aims to create a multifunctional space offering areas for culture, social events, education, and sports activities.

Popis projektu

The design of the cultural-social center in Cholupice stems from the need to create a new community center as a place for social and community life of residents. The building responds to the surrounding context and its composition reflects the diverse functions within. The main design motif is the contrast between the massive brick volume and the transparent glass partitions. A transparent partition supports the visual connection of the interior with public spaces and views into the building. A central foyer connects all operational areas and creates a community space. The building connects to the existing structure of public spaces and integrates into the surrounding landscape through its placement and detailed character.

Technické informace

The documentation includes floor plans at 1:200 scale, sections, and a site plan at 1:1000 scale. The building features a multi-level spatial arrangement with exhibition, administrative, and social spaces. The structure uses brick cladding as the primary facade material combined with extensive glazing. The site is located in the center of the Prague district of Cholupice, characterized by predominantly residential development with a village character.
