A visitors centre and showroom for BROKIS, a glass lighting manufacturer, incorporating the brand's signature aesthetic through the use of massif glass panels and distinctive red-toned materials, creating an immersive brand experience within a gateway, extension, and functional architectural concept.
The BROKIS Visitors Centre is designed as a facility combining showroom, reception, exhibition spaces, storage, and conference rooms. The concept follows three principles: Gateway, Extensions, and Functionality. The site plan integrates the new building with the existing production facilities and central square. The building features a striking dark exterior cladding with a large circular opening that serves as a display window, revealing the warm copper/red interior. The design introduces new materials including red-finish metal and cement fiber panels alongside massif glass, which is produced through a specialized process involving sand, enamel, storage, melting, and panel fabrication. The floor plans show a two-story layout with reception desk, showroom, Hygiene+WHDs, storage room, and conference room on the respective floors.
The building consists of two floors with sections A-A and B-B showing the internal spatial relationships. New material cladding includes red-finish metal panels and cement fiber panels. The massif glass production process involves sand preparation in a glass furnace, enamel application, massif formation through controlled processes, storage with fragments, melting of stored massif fragments, and final panel cutting. Two elevations are provided showing the building's relationship to existing structures on site.
