Idea projektu

The "THE ODER FLOW" project is developed within the Studio Habitat course focusing on complex residential structures. The concept is based on the analysis of the inhabitants model scheme and the massing/form shaping scheme of the building. The project is supervised by dr hab. inż. arch. Paweł Horn during the winter semester of the 2025/26 academic year.

Popis projektu

Location: Situated on Grobla in Wrocław, the project offers a unique blend of city center vibrancy and riverside tranquility.
Architecture: The complex consists of three buildings featuring a cascading design that provides spacious terraces with panoramic views of Wrocław.
The Glass Core: The "heart" of the building is a unique glass core or "crack". This luminous portal functions as a lightwell, illuminating the gallery corridors and the apartments themselves.
Residential Amenities: The interior includes large corridors for residents and essential shared facilities such as a laundry room and a stroller storage area.
Ground Floor Services: The ground floor is dedicated to community and commercial services, including a café and event spaces for social gatherings.
Connectivity and Recreation: The buildings are connected to the opposite riverbank via footbridges. These integrated outdoor spaces feature:
A playground, riverside boulevards, benches and greenery designed for relaxation and community building, Grilling gazebos and more.

Technické informace

The technical specification covers the material and structural solutions of the facility. The building is partially supported on piles driven into the water, which is a key element of its structure. The main above-ground structure is constructed from ceramic blocks, while the facade is finished with wooden cladding. A characteristic feature and distinguishing architectural detail of the facility is a glass strip located in the middle of the form, which visually imitates a crack in the building.
