The project presents the interior design concept of a contemporary cocktail bar inspired by the elegance of Art Deco aesthetics. The design aims to create an immersive and memorable atmosphere through the combination of sculptural forms, rich textures, warm lighting, and sophisticated material contrasts. Curved architectural elements, decorative brass details, and deep burgundy tones form a distinctive visual identity that enhances the social and emotional experience of visitors.

This course project explores the design of a modern bar interior developed at the Faculty of Urbanism and Architecture, Department of Interior Design, Technical University of Moldova.

The concept is based on a contemporary interpretation of Art Deco style, characterized by geometric compositions, elegant arches, circular motifs, reflective surfaces, and carefully integrated lighting. The spatial organization includes a spacious main hall, a central bar area, lounge seating zones, a makeup room, and supporting sanitary facilities.

Special attention was given to creating a unique atmosphere that combines comfort, luxury, and visual drama. The interior is designed to function as both a social gathering space and an aesthetic environment, encouraging interaction while providing memorable visual experiences. The warm color palette, consisting of burgundy, plum, beige, brass, and gold accents, contributes to a refined and intimate ambiance suitable for evening entertainment and hospitality.

Technické informace

The project combines architectural planning, interior detailing, engineering solutions, and photorealistic visualization to create a fully developed hospitality environment.

The technical design incorporates an integrated climate control system consisting of underfloor heating, a VRF air-conditioning system, and supplementary infrared heating units to ensure thermal comfort throughout the space. The engineering layout was developed to provide efficient air distribution and year-round environmental control.

The interior features custom-designed furniture, curved MDF constructions, decorative brass elements, tinted mirrors, textured plaster finishes, porcelain tiles, vinyl flooring, and integrated LED lighting systems. Architectural details such as sculptural wall compositions, illuminated niches, and custom bar shelving contribute to the project's distinctive identity.

The lighting concept combines ambient, accent, and decorative illumination, carefully positioned to highlight key architectural features while creating an intimate and atmospheric environment. Integrated LED strips, decorative fixtures, and concealed lighting elements enhance the visual depth of the interior.

The project was developed using professional design software, including AutoCAD for technical documentation and 3ds Max with Corona Renderer for visualization and presentation.
