Idea projektu

The project aims to create a contemporary hotel lobby that serves as both a functional reception area and a memorable spatial experience for guests. The design is based on the interaction of light, texture, and fluid architectural forms, creating an atmosphere of elegance, comfort, and visual identity. Inspired by the idea of hospitality as a journey, the space combines refined materials, artistic accents, and dynamic lighting compositions to establish a strong first impression while ensuring intuitive navigation and a welcoming environment.

This course project presents the interior design concept for a contemporary hotel lobby developed at the Faculty of Urbanism and Architecture, Department of Interior Design.

The design focuses on creating a multifunctional public space that combines reception, waiting, relaxation, circulation, and social interaction areas within a coherent architectural composition. The layout includes an entrance zone, reception area, lounge, bar, elevator lobby, corridor, and sanitary facilities.

The interior is characterized by soft curvilinear forms, decorative sculptural elements, and a carefully balanced palette of warm beige tones, deep green accents, textured metals, and natural stone surfaces. Brass details are used throughout the project to reinforce a sense of sophistication and continuity.

A key feature of the concept is the integration of custom-designed illuminated panels, artistic decorative compositions, textured wall treatments, and layered ceiling structures that enhance the spatial perception of the lobby. The lighting strategy combines ambient, accent, and decorative illumination to create a welcoming atmosphere throughout the day and evening.

Furniture selection emphasizes comfort, durability, and visual harmony, providing flexible spaces for waiting, informal meetings, and relaxation. The overall design seeks to deliver a memorable guest experience while maintaining functionality, accessibility, and contemporary hospitality standards.

Technické informace

The project combines architectural planning, interior detailing, engineering solutions, and photorealistic visualization to create a contemporary hotel lobby environment.

The interior features custom-designed furniture, decorative gypsum compositions, textured plaster finishes, brass accents, glass partitions, porcelain stoneware, marble mosaic inserts, epoxy flooring, and integrated LED lighting systems. Sculptural wall compositions, artistic panels, and bespoke reception and bar elements contribute to the project's distinctive identity.

The lighting concept combines ambient, accent, and decorative illumination to emphasize architectural features and create a welcoming atmosphere. Integrated LED profiles, luminous panels, and concealed lighting enhance the visual depth of the interior while supporting intuitive spatial navigation.

The project was developed using AutoCAD for technical documentation and SketchUp with V-ray Renderer for visualization and presentation.
