Idea projektu

The project focuses on developing context-sensitive, adaptive dwelling systems that enhance community safety, mitigate environmental risk, and promote long-term resilience in flood-prone regions. To fulfill the design objectives, the team here aimed to introduce a modular household along maintaining the community activities
The project is about flood resilient housing for the char area of the Jamuna river in Bangladesh where people are habited to stay a flat land. They are facing monsoon flood 1-3 times a year. It connects strongly with your broader work on flood-resilient architecture and community-based design in Bangladesh. Char Maijbari is a riverine (char) settlement shaped by seasonal flooding, erosion, and socio-economic vulnerability. The project focuses on creating a resilient, adaptive, and community-centered built environment.
