This project was designed as a contemporary private study located in New York City, supporting focused work, creativity, and professional growth within a residential environment. As remote and flexible workspaces become increasingly important, the aim was to create a space that combines functionality, comfort, and a distinctive architectural identity.
Located high above Manhattan, the study balances the dynamic energy of New York’s skyline with the calm atmosphere required for concentration and reflection. Floor-to-ceiling glazing maximizes natural light and frames panoramic city views, while shifting patterns of sunlight and shadow enrich the interior throughout the day.
The space is defined by a refined combination of natural materials and artistic elements. Warm wood paneling, herringbone parquet flooring, and a sculptural travertine fireplace create an elegant and timeless setting. Marble sculptures, curated decorative objects, and carefully selected furnishings introduce an artistic dimension while preserving visual balance and sophistication.
A lounge area complements the workspace, providing a comfortable setting for reading, informal meetings, and relaxation. Together, natural light, rich materials, and thoughtful details create an environment that feels personal, refined, and enduring.
The interior combines natural wood, stone finishes, and large glazed surfaces. Wood paneling enhances warmth and acoustic comfort, while travertine and stone elements, together with a layered lighting strategy, contribute to the functionality, atmosphere, and timeless character of the space. The carefully selected material palette was chosen to achieve durability, elegance, and a lasting architectural expression.
