The Reflection of a Lost Castle is a remarkably sensitive and intellectually sophisticated heritage intervention. The project’s strength lies in its ability to address the question of preservation without resorting to reconstruction, transforming absence itself into a powerful architectural experience.
Rather than recreating the lost castle, the proposal successfully restores its spatial memory, historical identity, and visual relationships, allowing visitors to perceive what once existed while preserving the authenticity of the ruin. The reversible horizontal layer is both elegant and respectful, acting as a subtle mediator between past and present.
Particularly commendable is the project's commitment to the principles of minimum intervention, reversibility, and conservation ethics. The restoration of the visual dialogue between Starhrad and Strečno Castle, combined with the carefully designed visitor journey, demonstrates a deep understanding of heritage interpretation and experiential architecture.
The presentation is exceptionally clear, innovative, and engaging. The project is supported by comprehensive historical, architectural, and conservation studies that reflect outstanding research, critical analysis, and professional maturity.
-Further explore digital interpretation tools (AR/VR) to enhance the visitor's understanding of the castle's lost spaces without introducing additional physical interventions.
-Provide more detailed analysis of visitor capacity and long-term site management to ensure sustainable heritage tourism.

Dear Eman Mounir,
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our project and for your thoughtful and generous feedback.
It means a lot to us that you understood the main idea exactly as we intended it: not to reconstruct the castle itself, but to restore its memory, spatial identity and forgotten dialogue with the landscape.
Your kind words about the project's sensitivity, reversibility and conservation approach are incredibly motivating for us as architecture students. We truly appreciate your recognition of our research and design process.
Receiving such inspiring feedback from an international architect and educator is a wonderful encouragement to continue exploring thoughtful and responsible approaches to heritage architecture.
Thank you again for your time, generosity and support.
With sincere gratitude,
