Project idea

Design of a bus stop shelter with integrated amenities including seating areas, toilets, information board, water dispenser, charging points, and landscaped outdoor spaces.

Project description

The project presents a linear bus stop structure approximately 40 meters long and 8 meters wide. The facility includes covered seating areas, a store, public toilets (including accessible facilities), an information board, water dispenser, and charging points. The design features a wooden and metal clad roof structure with an adjacent outdoor seating area with planted trees. A platform runs along the bus lane side accommodating two bus bays, each approximately 12.5 meters long. The site is positioned along a road with a 15-meter width.

Technical information

Overall building dimensions: 40.0m x 8.0m for the main shelter, with an additional 12.5m outdoor seating terrace and 7.5m service zone. The structure includes a 4.0m landscape/store zone, 24.0m main covered area, and separate toilet block. Bus platform width is 3.0m with two bus parking bays of 12.5m each. The road width is 15.0m. Section line A-A is indicated across the width of the building.
