A bus shelter design based on the concept of 'Dynamics' — referring to movement, change, and interaction of forces within a system in architecture and design. The project explores how spaces, forms, and elements respond to motion, time, users, and environmental forces.
The design explores three types of dynamics: kinetic dynamics where structures physically move, visual dynamics creating the illusion of movement through spaces, spatial dynamics addressing flow of movement through spaces, and environmental dynamics as building response to climate. The shelter incorporates zones for waiting, sitting, standing, resting, parking, toilet, and stall areas. The form development shows a progressive transformation from a simple rectilinear glass and wood structure to a curved dynamic canopy with a green roof, responding to climate through shutters and movement-oriented design.
The zoning includes pedestrian pathway, standing area, sitting area, waiting area, resting area, stall, toilet, and parking. Climate response features include shutters. The structure uses a combination of glass panels, wooden/timber framing, and a green roof system. The bubble diagram shows circulation flow from entry through seating area, waiting area, sitting spaces, and connections to stall and toilet facilities.
