A bus shelter designed as a continuous flowing structure inspired by natural fluid geometries and the flow of water, integrating transit space and movement into a unified architectural form.
The bus shelter design incorporates multiple functional zones including waiting areas, a charging area, cycle parking, information point, tea shop, kiosk, resting space, and pedestrian walkway. The organic, curved form creates a dynamic shelter with natural wood panelling, toughened glass, and stone paving. Special features include kinetic walkway flooring system that harvests energy from human movement, solar charging stations, permeable grass pavers for eco-friendly surfacing, green planters for shade and aesthetics, and digital time displays. The design emphasizes comfortable bench seating, natural ventilation and daylight, accessible design, and durable low-maintenance materials.
The structure spans 20.0 meters in length with heights of 3.4-3.5 meters. Materials include natural wood panelling, toughened glass, stone paving at base, light grey tiles, stone paving with pattern, weather resistant exterior finish, and smooth plaster finish. The section shows a flowing roof profile with glass infill panels. Features include ergonomic bench seating, roof edge with pattern detail, kinetic walkway flooring system for energy harvesting, and solar charging infrastructure.
