Project idea

The project is an Interpretation Center designed to preserve and communicate the historical memories of torture, suffering, resistance, and remembrance. The concept is inspired by emotional healing through architecture and landscape. Organic forms, memorial spaces, water bodies, and shaded environments create a journey that allows visitors to experience reflection, awareness, silence, and recovery. The project symbolically represents pain transforming into hope through spatial storytelling and cultural memory.

Project description

The Interpretation Center consists of multiple interconnected spaces including a Historical Exhibition Pavilion, Memorial Art Gallery, Immersive Audiovisual Showroom, Memory Plaza, Amphitheatre, Concert and Recital Hall, Conference Complex, Classroom Complex, Commercial Premises, and Shade House. The site also includes landscaped pathways, reflection gardens, water features, public gathering areas, parking facilities, and complementary educational spaces. The design encourages movement through different emotional and educational experiences while maintaining strong connections with nature and the historical context of the site.

Technical information

The project is planned on a site area of approximately 119.7 hectares (295.8 acres) with integrated circulation systems, pedestrian pathways, and 10-meter-wide driveways. The design uses reinforced concrete structures, steel framing systems, tensile and curved roof forms, landscaped earth berming, and water-integrated public spaces. Sustainable strategies include natural ventilation, passive cooling, shaded outdoor spaces, landscape integration, and daylight-oriented planning. The architectural language follows fluid organic geometry inspired by natural landforms and symbolic protective forms.
