Project idea

The idea of this project is to create a sustainable and eco-conscious contemporary cinema in Qasimabad, Hyderabad, that reinterprets the timeless principles of Classical Architecture symmetry, proportion, rhythmic arches, hierarchy, and monumental dignity into a modern cinematic landmark. The project addresses the growing need for quality family-oriented entertainment spaces in a densely populated urban area while tackling challenges such as urban heat, traffic congestion, and environmental impact. Green Screen Cinema aims to function as a “temple of spectacle,” providing an immersive cinematic experience without compromising ecological responsibility, ultimately becoming a vibrant new landmark that blends architectural heritage with contemporary sustainability.

Project description

This project consists of a sustainable cinema complex developed on a 300’ x 200’ plot behind Marhaba Super Mart in Qasimabad. The design includes a grand arched main entrance, spacious lobby, multiple cinema halls, a vibrant food court, ticket counters, administration areas, and adequate parking facilities. Through careful zoning and circulation, the building ensures smooth movement for visitors while incorporating passive daylighting, energy-efficient strategies, and green elements. The scope covers the complete architectural solution from site analysis and conceptual development to detailed elevations, sections, master plan, and interior perspectives, creating a family-friendly entertainment destination that responds sensitively to its urban context

Technical information

The construction of the building utilizes sustainable materials with energy-efficient systems and passive design strategies to combat the hot climate of Hyderabad. The structure features large glazed openings for natural daylighting, rhythmic classical-modern arches, and strategic shading devices. The project includes a well-organized master plan with parking areas, landscaped zones, and clear pedestrian and vehicular circulation. Technical aspects also cover seismic considerations suitable for the region, optimized acoustic design for cinema halls, and contemporary building services that support both operational efficiency and environmental sustainability.
