Project idea

An interpretation center featuring two distinct organic structural forms: the Dendrite Canopy and the Crystal Gateway, designed as shade houses with biomorphic and crystalline geometries.

Project description

The project consists of two main pavilion structures. The Dendrite Canopy is an organic, flowing structure with a branching lattice roof inspired by dendrite forms, incorporating a water pond and seating decks within a roughly 26.8m span. The Crystal Gateway is a larger dome-like crystalline glass structure approximately 59.57m x 65.33m with a faceted geometric framework rising about 20.5m high. Both structures serve as shade houses within an interpretation center, set within a landscaped environment with gardens and pathways.

Technical information

Scale 1:200. All dimensions are in meters. The Dendrite Canopy spans approximately 26.87m wide and 25.21m in length with a height of approximately 5.01m, featuring a latticed organic shell structure over water features and seating areas. The Crystal Gateway structure measures approximately 59.67m in section with a height of 20.5m, constructed with a geometric glass and steel framework forming a dome-like enclosure. Plans, sections AA' and BB' are provided for both structures.
