The aim of the revitalization of the train station in Zadní Třebaň is not only to create a functional transport hub, but primarily a lively community center. The place should serve as a meeting point with a pleasant atmosphere for relaxation and rest, integrating into the spatial and urban context where people can gather day and night — whether for dining, meeting friends, or attending cultural events.
The design brings life back to the existing station building in Zadní Třebaň, transforming it into a modern cultural and community facility. Through a new spatial concept incorporating a café, bistro, coworking space, community hall, and clubrooms, it creates a living house that connects club activities with local attractions. The building preserves its historical character on the facade while using contrasting modern materials in the interior. A canopy bridges the space between the station and the landscape, with its dark color connecting to the exterior and referencing the colorfulness of the surrounding terrain.
The project includes floor plans for 1st and 2nd floors, longitudinal section A-A', cross section B-B', west elevation, south elevation, site plan at 1:500 scale, and a broader context situation plan. The station is located on the main railway line connecting Prague and Beroun, at the confluence of the Berounka river, in the Český kras region near Karlštejn.
