A mobile column structure designed as a temporary pavilion that can be relocated, serving as an extension of the CAMP center for architecture and urban planning in Prague.
The project proposes a mobile, demountable pavilion structure referred to as a 'mobile column.' The design features a lightweight steel frame construction with polycarbonate sliding walls and timber cladding elements. The structure is conceived as a temporary construction that can be assembled and disassembled at various urban locations, functioning as an exhibition and event space connected to the CAMP institution. The floor plan shows a central open space with surrounding deck/terrace areas. The concept draws inspiration from temporary construction methods and utilizes materials such as weathered steel panels, polycarbonate panels, glass, and wood connections.
The structure uses a steel frame system with XTEND details for joints. Materials include polycarbonate sliding walls, weathered steel cladding panels, glass elements, and timber connections. Floor plan at scale M1:75 and section at M1:75 are provided. The foundation appears to be a raised platform system allowing for temporary installation. Architectural details show column-to-beam wood connections and roof structure details.
