An entrance pavilion for the Výstaviště Holešovice exhibition grounds in Prague, inspired by octagonal geometry that references the historical architecture of the surrounding area.
The project proposes a new entrance object for the Výstaviště Holešovice complex in Prague. The octagonal pavilion structure serves as a gateway into the exhibition grounds, using a transparent design with polycarbonate panels, stainless steel mesh, structural steel, and wooden lamellas. The design creates a visually permeable structure that respects the historical context of the exhibition grounds while providing a contemporary architectural statement. The pavilion features multiple levels with stairs, allowing visitors to experience the surrounding area from different vantage points.
The structure utilizes an octagonal plan with a roof construction detailed with structural steel framing. Materials include polycarbonate cladding, stainless steel mesh (nerezová síť), construction steel (konstrukční ocel), and wooden lamellas (dřevěné lamely). The board includes site plan (situace), floor plan (půdorys), sections (řez A-A, řez B-B), roof construction detail (detail střešní konstrukce), and axonometric views.
