Project idea

A café design for the CAMP center, conceived as a lightweight pavilion structure with a strong red color identity that integrates with the surrounding urban context and public space through stepped seating and open glazed facades.

Project description

The project proposes a café pavilion situated near the CAMP cultural center. The design features a modular steel and glass structure with distinctive red-painted steel framing elements. The building is organized around an open plan café interior with stepped exterior seating that creates an amphitheater-like public gathering space. The concept draws from the industrial aesthetic of surrounding structures, using exposed steel construction and large glass panels to create transparency and visual connection between interior and exterior. The layout includes service areas, seating zones, and outdoor terraces integrated into the urban landscape with existing trees.

Technical information

The structure uses a steel frame construction with glazed infill panels. Floor plans and sections are shown at 1:100 scale, with a site plan at 1:200. The architectural detail shows the wall assembly including exterior cladding panels, steel structural profiles, insulation layers, and interior finishes. The roof features retractable or folding shading elements. The red-painted steel framework serves as both structure and visual identity element.
