A university training center for ČVUT that integrates into the natural landscape, drawing facade design inspiration from natural rock formations, cracks, abstraction, and window patterns found in the surrounding terrain.
The project is a university training center for the Faculty of Civil Engineering at ČVUT. The building is situated in a forested hillside setting near the Vltava river. The design concept evolves from natural forms - rock surfaces, cracks, and abstracted geological patterns - which are translated into the facade treatment. The building is organized as a horizontal volume embedded into the sloping terrain, with a green roof that blends with the surrounding landscape. The facility includes conference and training spaces spread across two floors, connected to outdoor areas among existing trees.
The structure uses Porotherm ceramic blocks, EPS thermal insulation, steel grid framing, fiberglass concrete panels, purple/violet glass with bezpečnostní properties, dark metal/anthracite cladding, and a green roof system. Floor plans are provided at 1:250 scale showing ground floor (1NP) and second floor (2NP) layouts. Site plans are shown at 1:3000 and 1:500 scales. The presentation includes northwest and southeast elevations, an axonometric view, a comprehensive section, and material specifications.
