A project inspired by the form of the Střelecký Island tip, creating a lookout structure that draws from the elegant geometry of the nautilus shell spiral, providing a public space with views of the Vltava river and Prague.
The project named Symphony of Vltava occupies the tip of Střelecký Island, using the form of a nautilus shell as the basis for architectural expression. The spiral concrete structure serves as a lookout point and public gathering space along the river. The design integrates with the existing mature trees on the island and creates an accessible elevated walkway that spirals upward, offering panoramic views of the river and the city of Prague. The structure includes public toilets, rest areas, and gathering spaces beneath and around the spiral form.
The project includes site plans at 1:3000 and 1:500 scales, floor plan at 1:100, sections at 1:100, and axonometric drawings at 1:100. The concept development shows the geometric progression from the golden ratio spiral to the final architectural form. The structure appears to be primarily concrete construction with spiral ramps and integrated landscaping.
