Project idea

The project is a new building of a multifunctional house in the spa town of Poděbrady, combining functions of accommodation, café, multifunctional hall, and fitness. The goal was to design a contemporary building with reference to the traditional spa environment.

Project description

The design of a new building in a spa town. Poděbrady originates from respect for the local architectural tradition and the existing urban context. The natural motif is a reinterpretation of typical spa building typologies. The building program includes apartments (1x 3+kk, 3x 4+kk, 1x 1+kk), a fitness center with a self-service bar, a multifunctional hall, and a café with reception/info center. The facade and spatial solution connect contemporary approaches with the traditional language of spa architecture. Green areas support a calm atmosphere for pleasant stays and contribute to the quality of public space.

Technical information

Documentation includes floor plans, sections, elevations, and site plans at various scales (1:100, 1:500). The building features ground floor public functions with residential units above. The section shows a pitched roof structure with exposed timber framing.
