A hammock paradise pavilion designed as a lightweight steel structure creating a relaxation space within an urban park context, combining atmosphere and functionality to offer rest and interaction in a public setting.
The project emerges from an analysis of the urban context and concept of creating a central pavilion with dominant verticals and a platform for relaxation with hammocks. The design responds to the surrounding neighborhood atmosphere, aiming to bring a new recreational element into the existing urban fabric. The structure serves as a multi-level open pavilion where visitors can rest in hammocks, enjoy elevated views, and interact with the public space. The pavilion is designed to accommodate various moods and uses, functioning as both an intimate retreat and a gathering point for larger groups.
The construction consists of welded steel rectangular profiles (60x60mm), steel columns (45mm diameter), steel flat bars (10mm x 5mm), semi-transparent blue glass (35mm), and wooden decking (50mm). The steel frame creates a grid-like cage structure with multiple levels connected by stairs. The wooden platform provides the main usable floor area, while the semi-transparent glass panels offer partial weather protection. The steel elements are left exposed in red finish, creating a distinctive visual identity.
