Project idea

A temporary information center for the construction of the Vltava Philharmonic Hall in Prague, located at the Vltavská/Bubny site, designed to serve as a public infopoint during the building process of the new philharmonic complex.

Project description

The building is situated on a plot between the historic Šlechtova building and the new philharmonic construction site. The object is a two-story structure with a basement, designed using a steel frame construction that allows for a flexible and open facade with large glazed surfaces. The ground floor houses the main information center functions, while the upper floor contains an exhibition hall connected to the philharmonic and an observation space. The structural concept uses a modular steel frame system allowing for varied spatial configurations. The building integrates with the surrounding urban context, drawing from the scale of nearby buildings and the emerging philharmonic complex. A terrace on the upper level provides views of the construction site.

Technical information

Steel frame construction with composite cladding and extensive glazing. Floor plans at 1:200 and 1:100 scale. The structural scheme shows a regular grid of columns supporting the upper floor and roof. The building features a combination of solid and transparent facade elements. Site plan at 1:500 and 1:5000 scales provided.
