The design responds to the specific character of the 'Na Dolíku' area in Stará Boleslav. The goal was to create a complex of buildings that naturally communicates with the surrounding development while also bringing a new, distinct identity to the area. The solution reacts to existing relationships in the area and works with the surrounding context, dividing the program into a community and a relaxation part using contrasting volumes.
The café and community house design in Stará Boleslav responds to the need for a welcoming place for gathering and relaxation. The building is divided into three functional zones: public, semi-public, and flexible community spaces. The ground floor features publicly accessible functions, while upper floors contain creative and community-oriented programs. The concept organizes these zones into a cohesive multifunctional community house that supports community and cultural life.
The material solution features Corten steel for the perforated facade, plaster for interior walls, glass for the glazed facade, paved surfaces for flooring, and metal for railings and fittings. The construction system consists of a load-bearing structure with ceiling slabs, steel columns, a perforated facade layer, and a load-bearing rear wall. The building spans multiple levels with heights indicated on the elevations and sections.
