Project idea

Design of a visitor center at the Stoly Josef site, creating an emotional experience before entering the Stoly cave by separating spaces for visitors and staff with a large concrete wall serving as the main axis.

Project description

The project is a visitor center located in the Josef Stoly area. The main concept was to create an atmosphere and emotion upon entering the site, even before visitors enter the cave itself. The design separates spaces for visitors and staff facilities using a large concrete wall as the main axis. The main building houses visitor facilities on one side and staff support spaces on the other. All structures are made of reinforced concrete and fair-faced concrete to give the complex a sense of rawness and authenticity. The building features dark glass, green walls with vegetation, and exposed concrete as the primary material palette.

Technical information
