Project idea

Design of a temporary, modular and relocatable information center for the Vltava Philharmonic project in the Vltavská/Bubny locality in Prague, serving as a public information point about the philharmonic and surrounding urban development.

Project description

The project is a temporary information center for the construction of the Vltava Philharmonic in Prague. The main goal is to inform the public about the development of the Bubny-Zátory area and the Vltava Philharmonic project. The building is designed as both an information center and a space for community and cultural activities. Located near the Vltavská metro and tram station, it strategically connects to the area between the Scouting Institute and the Bubny railway station. The ground floor contains a flexible exhibition hall serving as an infocenter, with exhibition spaces and information panels. The dominant feature is a lookout tower that provides panoramic views of the surrounding area including the Holešovice district, the new Bubny development, and Prague Castle. The second floor houses a café with terrace access.

Technical information

The building structure is based on a system of modular containers that can be easily assembled and disassembled on site, enabling quick assembly, flexibility, and potential future dismantling without permanent impact on the terrain. The architectural solution responds to the requirement of year-round operation through an innovative and sustainable concept of modular architecture.
