An urban-architectural design of a sports and recreation complex in Praha 8 Ďáblice, conceived as a natural center for recreation, sports, and community life of the neighborhood.
The project proposes a sports hall in Prague 8 - Ďáblice that serves as a multifunctional center for recreation, sports, and community life. The design concept derives from the structure of surrounding blocks, which create a network and divide the area into smaller units. This principle is translated into a clear rectangular form that organizes the individual functions of the sports complex. The approach extends from the urban planning level down to the internal layout of the building, creating a unified system connecting the surrounding environment, architecture, and building operations. The sports hall serves both competitive sports and leisure/public use, including potential small business activities.
The building features a two-story layout with ground floor (1. NP) and first floor (2. NP). The ground floor contains entrance, changing rooms, showers, WC facilities, storage, technical rooms, and a clubroom. The upper floor houses the main playing field/sports court, gallery/spectator area, additional changing facilities, and technical support spaces. The building includes a longitudinal section showing the spatial organization with the main hall volume rising above the ancillary spaces.
