The aim is to supplement the locality with a cultural-community center and create a pleasant environment where people can spend time with their neighbors. Cholupice has a rural character, and the design respects the Prague periphery while preserving the natural character of the locality which has significant potential for growth.
The goal was to find a balance between modern significant and extravagant expression in the context of the place and all principles, detailed to attract visitors from other parts of the city. The main symbol of the project is the connection of buildings with a saddle-type roof form, referencing both traditional and anti-traditional structures. The exterior architecture is readable in its mass rhythm, contrast and work with proportions. The building is designed to be functional and accessible for all people without discrimination, referring to natural materials like wood, and both dominant and materialistic elements suggest future use.
The project documentation is presented at 1:500 scale with floor plans, sections, views and utilization of the interior layout. The western building functions as an office space with potential for studios, clubs or conference use, with the upper floor connected to a terrace with a balcony overlooking the surroundings. The functional layout primarily connects two buildings with a covered outdoor area serving as a foyer where every building has its own function. Floor plans are shown at 1:200 scale including 1.PP, 1.NP, 1.4NP, 2.NP, and 2.4NP levels.
