Splynutí - A café designed to merge with its natural surroundings in the Divoká Šárka nature reserve, using natural and recyclable materials to create a building that blends into the landscape while serving as a pleasant space for visitors.
The goal of the studio project was to design a small building located in the Divoká Šárka area in Prague. The design draws from the natural character of the site and aims to create interest in the nature reserve while providing a pleasant environment for visitors. The building references traditional folk construction styles that do not disrupt the natural landscape but rather complement it, preserving its character for future generations. The café uses primarily natural and recyclable materials including wood, stone, and metal, with a simple design concept that does not dominate the surrounding nature. The building is designed to minimize energy demands through elimination of heating needs, with electricity, water supply, and waste disposal connected via the city infrastructure of Prague.
The project includes a site plan at 1:200, floor plan section at 1:75, elevations at 1:100, building sections at 1:50, and a construction detail at 1:10. The structure features a timber frame construction with wooden cladding. The plan shows a café seating area with outdoor terrace, interior service areas, and facilities.
