The idea was to create a multifunctional building in the central part of Poděbrady spa town with a connection to public space, supporting social interaction, relaxation, and a pleasant atmosphere. The building serves as an information point about local spas, accommodation options, and city activities.
The source of inspiration was water, which is the most characteristic element of the spa. A system of calm water levels was created, working with volumes between them. The building's shape was adapted to the surrounding urban context with views oriented towards different directions. The main facade is oriented towards the square. The design creates a building that responds to the character of the surrounding area, with entrances from the square, park, and side for cyclists. The program includes restaurants, gastronomy, office space, studio apartments, and fitness facilities.
The building is a 3-story structure. The material concept uses light brick cladding, beige facade plaster, and Corten steel panels. The irregular facade articulation creates a harmonious architectural form characterized by elegance and a sense of calm. Floor plans show ground floor, 2nd floor, schematic 3rd floor layouts, and a cross-section at 1:100 scale. The site plan is at 1:500 scale with broader context at 1:3000.
