Dialogue of time and form - creating harmony between the historical building of the Exhibition Grounds and contemporary functional space. The entrance gate serves not only as a passage but as a spatial sequence of architectural elements referencing historical architecture.
The project is an entrance object to the Holešovice Exhibition Grounds area. The concept explores the dialogue between historical and contemporary architecture, creating a gateway that respects the existing context while introducing modern materials and forms. The curved, arc-shaped structure serves as a transitional space between the public realm and the exhibition grounds, functioning both as an entrance and as a semi-public gathering space. The design uses a combination of wood and glass with metal elements, creating a naturally lit colonnade-like passage.
The construction uses CLT ceiling panels, CLT floor panels, and metal columns as the primary structural system. Materials include concrete, wooden panels, metal, glass, and CLT panels. The building is organized on two floors with an arc-shaped floor plan. The structural scheme shows curved CLT elements supported by metal columns.
